Belonging
Connection | Relationships | Support | Love | Community | Family
When we feel a sense of belonging, we are in the presence of those who share something important with us. It might be simply geography (we find ourselves in the same location), or it might be a shared background, a shared employer, a shared sense of purpose, or a shared love of something of value to us. This sense of belonging provides us with opportunities to make continued contributions to that group in the form of attending events, sharing skills, welcoming others. When we contribute in these ways, we increase our own wellbeing and that of others.
